Brook cut her fashion teeth at the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), earning a BAA in Fashion Design in 2002. She was quickly recruited to the world of burlesque and began creating custom costume and stage commissions for this vibrant community.

 

Known for her strong collaborative skills and excellent quality, Brook prides herself in her ability to fulfill a client's vision on a reasonable budget. Her keen eye for design and construction is a valuable asset in creating costumes and garments that will not only wow a crowd, but take the strains of regular wear and performance. She is able to work with a variety of unique textiles, blending both fashion and function. Brook’s burlesque costumes have travelled the globe, from all over North America, to European festivals, and appearing numerous times on the prestigious Burlesque Hall of Fame stage in Las Vegas. Brook's costumes have appeared on numerous national and international TV shows such as Canada’s Got Talent, Call Me Mother and Drag Heals. She has made costumes for the award and title winning acts of Zyra Lee Vanity, James and the Giant Pasty, and Boylesque TO. Her work can also be found in the repertoire of well known and esteemed burlesque artists Ivory, Knox Harter, Força and internationally recognized award winner Coco Framboise. Brook’s costuming and textile arts were also featured in Coco Framboise’s installation “Hair Loom” at the Art Gallery of Ontario in January 2020.
